We are pleased to welcome Sakis (Athanasios) Serafeim to Nexus AI Advisory as Partner and Chief Commercial Officer.
Nexus is the Stella Novus company that helps businesses adopt AI in a practical way. From the start, we wanted the team to include people who have run businesses day to day, not only people who study or advise on them. Sakis brings exactly that.
Sakis's background
Sakis has more than 20 years of experience in dental production and hospitality.
Since 2009, he has run Architooth Dental Laboratory in Thessaloniki. Running a dental laboratory means managing skilled technical work, tight deadlines, quality standards and close relationships with dental practices. It is the kind of business where small improvements in how work is organised can make a real difference, and where any new tool has to fit into a working day that is already full.
From 2020 to 2023, Sakis also ran a deli and wine bar in Thessaloniki. Hospitality has its own demands: staff, suppliers, stock, customers and thin margins, often all at once.
Why this experience matters to Nexus
Many of the businesses that could benefit from AI are not large technology companies. They are laboratories, workshops, shops, restaurants, practices and small service firms. Their owners are busy, careful with money and understandably sceptical of anything that sounds too good to be true.

His role
As Partner and Chief Commercial Officer, Sakis will lead the commercial side of Nexus. That includes developing our relationships with clients, helping shape how we package and deliver our services, and making sure what we offer meets the practical needs of the businesses we work with.
He joins the other Nexus advisors: Dr Ioannis Syrigos on strategy, Prof. Nikos Fakotakis on AI research, Dimitris Vrachnos on adoption and business change, and Lucie Loiseau on data governance, including GDPR and the EU AI Act. Together the five advisors have more than 100 years of combined experience.
